District Loans & Grants

Bexley District is committed to provide financial assistance to Groups and individuals where it can be demonstrated there is a need that cannot be met elsewhere, and that it is for the benefit of Scouting within the District.


Applications should be made using the Bexley Loan Request form. Completed forms will need to be signed by the GSL and Chair of the Group Executive for Groups or the ESL and DESC for Explorer Units.

You may be asked to also complete and submit a District Budget and Cashflow Model spreadsheet with you Loan Request form. To open the spreadsheet click here


There are 4 grants available to District members. To find out more and for an application form click on the relevant links below. There is no application form for the World Scout Jamboree grant as this is managed automatically by the District. This also applies for a start up grant as the District Team will be involved with any start up activities. More information on these grants can be found in our policy regarding loans and grants, the link can be found at the top of this page.

Financial security

The District has a policy for financially underwriting District-backed international expeditions or District events. Each expedition or event is considered individually due to the varying nature of such events.

To find out more information on International expeditions click on the links below for the policy and the agreement form that is a formal handshake between the expedition manager and the District. To discuss the potential of running a District event you should contact the relevant section District team representatives.
